Thank you for your interest in our new Fairgrounds History signage project! It was fun to look back and dig up some pictures to help share our fairgrounds’ story. We look back on how far we have come in the past 146 years and hope it triggers many fond memories of the past fairs and the fairgrounds that used to be!
The signage you noticed throughout the fairgrounds was a project completed shortly before the 2018 McLeod County Fair, thanks to the Minnesota Department of Agriculture funding and the AGRI funding. Please check back as we further develop and share the extended story and provide more pictures than what was provided on the signage throughout the fairgrounds.
