About the Fairgrounds

     The McLeod County Fair moved from it's long time location near 3M to it's present location at 800 Century Avenue late in the summer of 1992.  In spite of the wettest Fall, Spring and Summer the 1993 County Fair was held at this new site.  With our new location came the unique opportunity to become more that just a place where the County Fair was held.  The building committee invisioned a place where people could gather for family celebrations, organizations could hold their annual meetings and livestock sales, youth could learn the fine art of dance, participate in sports from basketball to tennis. All these and many events not even considered have been held at the McLeod County Fairgrounds.  It is our goal to continue to provide space for as many events and activities as possible.
